Dr. Larry Hughes, MD is an experienced Family Medicine physician in Hemet, CA specializing in several areas: Family Health, Geriatric Health, Adolescent Medicine, Sports Medicine, and Pediatrics. He has over 39 years of experience in the field, and has been providing care to the greater Hemet community since 1987. Dr. Hughes is in practice with his daughter, Heather Hughes, M.D. and several other physicians at Doc Hughes Family Practice, where they offer a wide range of care, including: adult medical, clinic services, EKGs, FAA flight physicals, facial cosmetics, immunizations, pediatric care, skin reconditioning, supplements and vitamins, as well as all services offered by a Women’s Health Clinic. Dr. Hughes is also affiliated with Hemet Global Medical Center, and two other medical facilities.  

Dr. Hughes grew up on the family farm in North Dakota and married his childhood sweetheart, Sandy, a psychologist. They have three children and six grandchildren. After enlisting in the United States Navy, he served two tours of duty in Vietnam, and following six years of active duty he joined the United States Army National Guard while getting his medical education. He went on to become a U.S. Army Flight Surgeon, and was activated during Desert Storm.  He is currently a Federal Aviation Administration medical examiner.  

Dr. Hughes is currently welcoming new patients of all ages, and offers telehealth appointments if wanted.
